Accounting Clerk | Mental Health

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk in the Absecon office.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Financial Services, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the client trust accounts.
This role provides financial management services to persons' served who have a mental health diagnosis.
This role will meet and interact with clients and collaboratively maintain 50 client trust accounts.
This role ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve clients' problems and concerns.
The Accounting Clerk will assist clients with money management, setting financial goals, tracking credit score, enrolling in savings programs and other services.
Full-time 40 hours p/w Benefit Eligible including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays Schedule:
Monday - Friday Annual Salary:
$39,500.
00PM22Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures.
Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Ability to work independently.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly detail-oriented.
Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
Proficient in MS Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel.
Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
